As 2020 comes to an end, we want to take this time to focus on making positive changes in the new year. 2020 has been a year to forget in many ways, but a year to remember as well. Since the emergence of the global pandemic, nobody has been able to live a life in a “normal” way. Learning to adjust to a virtual workstyle in the same four walls day after day has left is in need of some change. Now more than ever is the time to set goals for ourselves in the new year. This month, our focus is on finding new ways to make positive changes in our personal and professional lives in 2021.


Implementing small changes in the new year can make a BIG impact. Try something new! Whether it be your lifestyle, health or career-2021 is the perfect time for change. Consider some of these options for change in the new year.


Start/Increase Exercising-


The perfect start to changing your physical and mental health is by getting up and moving. There are plenty of ways to get up and be active despite the gyms in your area being closed. Here are a few things you can try:


  • Dance workouts

  • Walking

  • Cycling

  • Yoga

  • Running

  • HIIT Workout


Find a New Hobby-


It’s easy to fall into the dreaded cycle of sleep, eat, work and repeat. With a cycle like this, it is easy to become bored with your life and your mental health can plummet as a result. Change up your daily routine by trying something new. The possibilities are endless. Here are a few ideas:


  • Baking

  • Writing

  • Painting

  • A new sport

  • A new language

  • Pick up a musical instrument

  • Make your own jewelry

  • Start a Youtube Channel

  • Start a Podcast

  • Learn all about investing


Purge your Home Office-


The temporary office you created for yourself has now become your full time office and who knows how long this will be your professional workspace. It’s time to get organized for the new year.


  • Establish Productivity Zones

  • Eliminate old papers, files and binders

  • Re-stock items such as pencils, paper, sharpies, staplers

  • Invest in a comfortable chair

  • Clear your workspace of things you don't use every day or on a weekly basis



Clear the clutter and start your new year off right. 2021 is gearing up to be a major year full of positive change and the perfect time to change your life for the better!
