What a year it has been for Time ReDesigned! As 2018 comes to an end, we are taking this opportunity to reflect on our successes and opportunities over the past 12 months. Check out how far we have come this year with the assistance of so many partners and champions of our collective work. We are looking forward to 2019 and the opportunity to assist school leaders as they prioritize student-focused leadership, improve student outcomes, and minimize the reactive nature of school leadership to achieve a better work-life balance.
January
The Launch Team wrapped up and Time ReDesigned implemented feedback from 146 administrators across 13 states and 38 districts around the country. We also began partnering with the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and have been featured in their newsletter and on their website. Thank you NAESP!
February
February marked the start of a spring internship program with students from the University of Iowa and Iowa State University, as well as a partnership with the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center. Many of you participated in surveys and phone interviews with the JPEC team, and for that we are so appreciative.
March
Our founder, Dr. Jobi Lawrence, attended and presented at the National Association for Bilingual Education Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Time ReDesigned was awarded $25,000 from the Iowa Economic Development Authority for our work on a Proof of Relevance Concept project. The Time ReDesigned Blog officially launched as well.
April
Time ReDesigned signed a partnership agreement with St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa to develop and pilot a series of modules based on the Time ReDesigned solution for future school leaders working on their administrative licensure program. The pilot will be implemented in the spring of 2019. Watch for more information in the months to come!
May
Time ReDesigned officially went to market!
June
Time ReDesigned was selected by the Iowa Innovation Corp. to partner on the submission of a National Science Foundation (Small Business Innovation Research-SBIR) Phase I grant application. If funded, Time ReDesigned will receive $50,000 in matching funds to pursue a Phase II submission.
July
Time ReDesigned hosted booths at the National Association of Elementary School Principals Conference (NAESP) in Orlando, Florida and the National Principals Conference (NPC) in Chicago, Illinois hosted by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
August
Time ReDesigned celebrated its first birthday! Time ReDesigned also hosted its first Academy in Chicago and attended the School Administrators of Iowa Conference (SAI) in Des Moines, Iowa.
September
Time ReDesigned was featured as one of the Top Innovative Businesses by the Business Record. Dr. Lawrence was interviewed for the feature story and was quoted as saying “it would be nice to see us in the next couple of years have users in every state.” Together we look forward to achieving that goal!
October
Dr. Jobi Lawrence, presented at the California Latino School Boards Association Unity Conference in San Diego, California. The theme for the 2018 conference was “Organize, Mobilize, Take Action: We the People, R , the Power.”
November
Founder of Time ReDesigned, Dr. Jobi Lawrence, was selected to present at the upcoming NAESP Pre-K-8 Principals Conference in Spokane, Washington on July 10-12, 2019. Her presentation will highlight the Four Steps to Successful Time Management for Administrators with co-presenter, Dr. Gerald Hudson; Superintendent from Jasper ISD, in Jasper, TX.
December
Time ReDesigned signed a partnership agreement with Ana G. Mendez University to host the Time ReDesigned Academy on their three Florida campuses in January and March of 2019. We will be exploring their Texas, Maryland, and Puerto Rico campuses for summer and fall 2019 Academy dates. Administrators who are implementing Time ReDesigned have logged over 26,000 activities in 2018!
